Uncertain Area

These pictures are made in Kuldiga, a small town in western Latvia. Kuldiga is an old town, which has a typical provincial feel due to its 19th century architecture and the fact that there are no modern roads, nor railways. If you would vanish the people of the streetscape, the town would seem abandoned. Everywhere you look, you find unfinished houses, construction materials along the road and apples waiting for someone to be gathered.
I got fascinated by this situation and felt the urge to re-arrange the elements I came across. I made subtle interventions to point out certain aspects of this town; careful rearrangements that assume the occurrence of a visitor.
